Swar-Sangam: Group Singing Competition

RULES:
• One entry per college will be allowed.
• The maximum time allowed for the group song is 10 minutes, which does not include the setting time of 4 minutes.

COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS
• A group may have no more than six singers and no more than three accompanists who play instruments.
• The group songs should be taken from Indian songs, which can be in a regional language.
• Participants may bring their own musical instruments if required in the performance.
• Participants should come in proper attire as per the theme of their dance. The costumes and props should be arranged by the participants themselves.

COMPETITION RESTRICTIONS
• The choice of the song is open to the participants, but the song should not have any slang or derogatory language.
• Participants will not be allowed to refer to the lyrics while singing.


COMPETITION JUDGEMENT
• The quality of the singing is the only factor considered, not the team’s make-up, costumes, or actions.
• Judgment will be based on the song selection, voice quality, clarity, rhythm, and appeal to the audience.
• The panel’s decision is final and irreversible.
